These appearance-enhancing procedures aren't only for the young and middle-aged...more people over the age of 65 are undergoing cosmetic surgery than ever before!
The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) reported there were a total of 84,685 plastic surgery procedures performed on patients over the age of 65 in 2010 alone, and the number keeps on rising.
The most popular procedures amongst this age group were: 26,635 face lifts, 24,783 eyelid lifts (blepharoplasty), 6,469 liposuctions, 5,874 breast reduction surgeries, 3,875 forehead lifts, 3,339 breast lifts and 2,414 breast augmentations.
The best part? Doctors say as long as the patient is in good physical health, there is no greater risk when compared to younger patients.
