When it comes to do-it-yourself plastic surgery, just don't. Please.
Recently there have been a string of super scary stories about patients who took cosmetic procedures into their own hands, all to save a little money.
The problem is, they ended up spending even more on hiring professionals to perform numerous procedures to fix their self-surgeries, which completely defeats the original purpose.
A few examples include a woman injecting her face with $10 silicone, two women injecting their buttocks with a homemade mix of silicone and saline, and finally, a DIY gastric bypass surgery kit sold on Amazon.com.
Each of these examples had less than desirable outcomes, and these people put their own lives at serious risk.
So, the next time you're thinking about how easy administering Botox injections might be, think about your neighborhood board-certified plastic surgeon, and the years he spent in school training to do such a "simple" procedure.
It's really common sense. Always go to a pro for medical services. Accepting anything less is just plain dumb.
